Author Guidelines
Authors are invited to make a submission to this journal. All submissions will be assessed by an editor to determine whether they meet the aims and scope of this journal. Those considered to be a good fit will be sent for peer review before determining whether they will be accepted or rejected.
Before making a submission, authors are responsible for obtaining permission to publish any material included with the submission, such as photos, documents and datasets. All authors identified on the submission must consent to be identified as an author. Where appropriate, research should be approved by an appropriate ethics committee in accordance with the legal requirements of the study's country.
An editor may desk reject a submission if it does not meet minimum standards of quality. Before submitting, please ensure that the study design and research argument are structured and articulated properly. The title should be concise and the abstract should be able to stand on its own. This will increase the likelihood of reviewers agreeing to review the paper. When you're satisfied that your submission meets this standard, please follow the checklist below to prepare your submission.
The International Journal of Current Educational Studies (IJCES) publishes different types of articles in English. Below is the list:
- Original research articles: original manuscripts that contain new research findings in any field of knowledge.
- Short Communications: publications that are brief and present novel discoveries or research findings to quickly disseminate knowledge.
- Case Studies: case studies that contain a study of a case in which every process is carried out in detail, sharply and in-depth.
- Meta-Analyses Articles: Meta-Analyses are a typical way to assess and summarize the body of literature to give thorough answers to particular research topics. These papers synthesize information from several studies to produce strong findings that pinpoint trends, connections, and overall impacts within the corpus of research.
- Theoretical Articles/Opinion: The goal of theoretical and opinion papers is to provide fresh insights on well-established ideas by constructing new theories or expanding on preexisting ones. These articles explore a field's conceptual underpinnings and offer fresh frameworks, models, or theories. It urges of authors to interact critically with the body of literature already in existence by providing novel perspectives and arguments that further theoretical knowledge. Opinion pieces can also include the author's personal perspectives on hot-button subjects, trends, or new developments in the field. These kinds of papers encourage critical thinking, refute received wisdom, and suggest new lines of inquiry. Contributors should make sure that their writing is coherent, clear, and has a solid argument.
The number of words mentioned above does not consider the figures and tables for all types of articles, but references should be included in the total. The Editorial Board reserves its right to waive the word limit, although a request may be made to the Editor-in-Chief before submitting the manuscript.
Structure of the article
- Title: Only the first letter of the first word must be capitalized.
- Abstract: 250 words;
- Keywords: At least three and not more than six, but not included in the title;
- Introduction: The Introduction should indicate the purpose of the research and briefly review the literature.
- Materials and Methods: This section should follow the Introduction and provide sufficient information to allow repetition of the experimental work.
- Results: This section should describe the outcome of the study. Data should be presented as concisely as possible and, if any, in the form of tables and figures, although very large tables should be avoided.
- Discussion: The discussion should be an interpretation of the results and their meaning with reference to other authors' work.
Note: Results may be accompanied by discussion in the same section or separately. - Acknowledgement: These should be as soon as possible. Any awards that require recognition must be mentioned.
- Declaration of Interest: All authors should disclose any personal and/or financial relationships with other people or organizations that may improperly influence their paper. A conflict-of-interest statement should be provided in the manuscript file immediately before the References section. Case there are no Conflicts of Interest, so report "The authors declare no conflicts of interest".
- Funding: The names of the funding organizations should be written in full. If there was no financial aid, it should be reported that "This research did not receive any financial support".
- Ethical considerations: Authors are required to affirm that they have obtained consent from participants in Research Articles utilizing the Questionnaire by submitting relevant documents. For Review Articles, include the statement "Not applicable."
- Generative AI Disclosure Statement: During the preparation of this work the author(s) used [NAME TOOL / SERVICE] in order to [REASON]. After using this tool/service, the author(s) reviewed and edited the content as needed and take(s) full responsibility for the content of the published article.
- References:The reference list should include only works cited in the text and published or accepted for publication. Personal communications and unpublished works should be mentioned only in the text. Referral list entries must be alphabetized by the first author's surname of each article. | Role | Description |
|---|---|
| Conceptualization | Formulation or evolution of overarching research goals and aims. |
| Methodology | Development or design of methodology; creation of models. |
| Software | Programming, software development, or implementation of computer code. |
| Validation | Verification of overall reproducibility and accuracy of results. |
| Formal Analysis | Application of statistical, mathematical, or computational techniques to analyze data. |
| Investigation | Conducting the research and data collection process. |
| Resources | Provision of study materials, instrumentation, or analysis tools. |
| Data Curation | Management of data for initial and subsequent use. |
| Writing – Original Draft | Preparation, creation, and presentation of the initial manuscript draft. |
| Writing – Review & Editing | Critical revision, commentary, and editorial contribution. |
| Visualization | Preparation of figures, tables, or graphical representations. |
| Supervision | Oversight and leadership responsibility for the research activity planning and execution. |
| Project Administration | Coordination and management of the research process. |
| Funding Acquisition | Acquisition of financial support for the project. |
Each author should be assigned at least one role, and all roles must be reviewed and agreed upon by all authors before submission.
Example:
Author Contributions:
-
A. Rahman: Conceptualization, Methodology, Writing – Original Draft
-
S. Dewi: Data Curation, Formal Analysis, Writing – Review & Editing
-
