Abstract

Climate change that continues to occur is something that cannot be ignored. This climate change can be influenced by various things including many forests that are lost due to fires, land clearing, illegal logging, or damage to forest ecosystems. As is known, forests have an important role in preventing climate change that can damage human life. Therefore, traditional forest conservation, including customary forests, is an important part for humans to do. This study uses a literature review method by analyzing literature related to the study. The results of the study show that traditional conservation in the form of local wisdom carried out by indigenous peoples can maintain the stability of forest ecosystems, so that these forests prevent the spread of carbon emissions and the rate of climate change.
